Willow River State Park is about 45 minutes from most parts of the Twin Cities. The park has 13 miles of hiking trails, and is perfect for all sorts of outdoor adventures: hiking, camping, enjoying the beautiful waterfall, and watching the sunset. There are also ski trails open in the winter!

Horseshoe Bend is one of those iconic places where I’d seen the same photo taken so many times. Cathedral Rock is a popular hiking destination in Sedona, AZ, with gorgeous red rock views all around. It’s especially popular at sunrise and sunset, particularly in the summer when it’s too hot to hike in the middle of the day!
Like many hikes in the area, Cathedral Rock requires a Red Rock Pass to park ($5/day or $15/week). You can purchase these passes in the parking lot.

Devil’s Bridge is a popular hiking destination in Sedona, AZ for locals and tourists alike. This natural sandstone arch is so impressive, and offers breathtaking views of the red rocks around you.
The hike length varies depending on where you start, and whether or not you have a 4×4 or 4-wheel-drive car. The shortest and easiest hike starts with a drive on a bumpy, mile-long dirt road, followed by a short, mostly marked, hike from the Devil’s Bridge Trailhead.
