Early Day at Horseshoe Bend
Horseshoe Bend is one of those iconic places where I’d seen the same photo taken so many times. I was curious as to how to see this view at the best time of day, and I came across so many answers when doing some research. I found the perfect way to make a decision that works for me, while also dodging the crowds if possible. Cathedral Rock is a popular hiking destination in Sedona, AZ, with gorgeous red rock views all around. It’s especially popular at sunrise and sunset, particularly in the summer when it’s too hot to hike in the middle of the day!
Like many hikes in the area, Cathedral Rock requires a Red Rock Pass to park ($5/day or $15/week). You can purchase these passes in the parking lot.

Devil’s Bridge is a popular hiking destination in Sedona, AZ for locals and tourists alike. This natural sandstone arch is so impressive, and offers breathtaking views of the red rocks around you.
The hike length varies depending on where you start, and whether or not you have a 4×4 or 4-wheel-drive car. The shortest and easiest hike starts with a drive on a bumpy, mile-long dirt road, followed by a short, mostly marked, hike from the Devil’s Bridge Trailhead.
